Small Groups
We don’t do God alone and Sunday doesn’t count.
This fall we are looking to launch a number of small groups throughout the city. We know signing up for a small group can be kind of like an arranged marriage so we’re asking for a 6 week commitment to attend regularly, try things out and see if there aren’t some meaningful relationships that can be built.

Everyone talks about leadership… but what about followership?
Randy Poon, department chair of the Ambrose University Business School (Calgary) will lead us in a talk about “followership”, the types of followers there are in organizations, the kind of followers we would like to lead and be (as employers, managers, parents).
Think about or imagine the employees you manage or would like to manage. Think about the employee you are. What makes a good follower? What kind of follower are you (even a CEO need to be accountable to their board)? How does your “following” translate into how you follow God? After doing a little bit of descriptive work, we will shift the focus to a more personal level, and consider the type of followers that we currently are.

Deep Dive Course
We value the kind of learning that comes through dialogue, through the wisdom of multiple perspectives, and through Biblical truth reflected in the diversity of our community. We call this kind of engaged learning a “deep dive”.
Bob Osborne will lead three Wednesday nights on a discussion of NT Wright’s book, “Simply Jesus: who he was, what he did, and why he matters”.
Registration is limited to 50 people and the text book available from Sept 16.
