Habitat for Humanity

The three dates that we currently have committed to help in the construction of a home are:

Saturday, June 23rd
Saturday, August 18th
Saturday, September 8th

Each of these dates requires a team of 16 people from 8:15AM until 4:00PM. Lunch will be provided. As Habitat for Humanity funds their builds through donations, each volunteer is asked to donate $50 per day that they would like to participate.

Experience in the trades is not necessary, although it would be nice to have some individuals with trades experience.

Drop-In Center

We have signed up a team to assist in serving dinner at the Calgary Drop-In Centre.

The dates that we have committed to (and number of people required per date) are:

Wednesday, April 18th (~10 people)
Thursday, May 24th (~20 people)
Wednesday, June 13th (~20 people)
Wednesday, July 11th (~20 people)

What’s required? Show up by 5:45 and help out until 7 (or help clean up and prep for the next meal until around 8 ).

If we get sufficient interest for these dates, we will organize more frequent dates.
